What does UPS mean?
A UPS or uninterruptible power supply is a power supply with VRLA batteries or capacitor storage that can supply the connected devices with power for a specific period in the event of a power failure.
- AC-UPS
An AC-UPS supplies an alternating current voltage at the output to buffer the AC mains voltage. - DC-UPS
A DC-UPS supplies a direct current voltage at the output (generally 24 V DC).
A DC-UPS can consist of just one control unit to charge and monitor the battery. It can also be a control unit with a built-in battery or it can be fully integrated into an AC power supply, together with the battery.
